Acharya was admitted to the Bansbari-based hospital on Tuesday morning after he fell unconscious upon hearing the death of party president Sushil Koirala. He was first rushed to Gangalal Hospital before being referred to the Neuro hospital.
Acharya “had a
reasonably comfortable 24 hours”, according to the hospital. “His pulse rate, blood pressure and temperature are within optimal range,” it said in a statement.
A CT-Scan performed on him on Wednesday revealed that hematoma (swelling filled with blood) and hydrocephalus (an excessive collection of cerebrospinal fluid that cushions the brain) to be static, it said, adding that it was planning to continue physiotherapy and begin oral feeding. (PR)
