Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kamal Thapa has said that the government is making necessary preparations to hold local body elections and the major parties are inching closer to an agreement on the same.
“We will soon announce the date for local body election after holding political consultation,” said Minister Thapa. He was here at Bijayapur in the district to inaugurate a motorable bridge built over the Bijaypur River.
Saying that two decades were wasted in the name of conflict and transition, Thapa said that it was time for all the parties to come together and strive for the economic development of the country.
The bridge has been built over Bijaypur river joining Pokhara-22 and Kalika VDC along the Kaseri-Bhaise-Thumakodanda. The 36.25 metre long bridge was completed with an investment of Rs 1,90,00,000.
