The launch ceremony saw the presence of many notable names like Rabindra Mishra, Nayan Raj Pandey, Narayan Wagle, Bhuwan KC among others. The ceremony started off with the screening of a short film based on the novel. The book was launched by five winners of a lucky draw, who took home a free copy of the novel, along with Khanal. “There was a large chunk of readers, who, after reading Yayavar, loved the character Junelee and were curious about her and that is how the book came to be,” said author Khanal, during the event. “I am extremely fortunate to have the love and support of so many people. If man was to become rich counting the relationships he had, then I would have perhaps found my name alongside Binod Chaudhary. Everyone who is present here has played a huge role in shaping the book, especially the late Jagadish Ghimire; I will never be able to thank him enough for his help,” he added.
During the event, writers, Rabindra Mishra and Nayan Raj Pandey, discussed the themes evoked by the novel. The programme ended with another video, Junelee Home Tour. The book is published by Book Hill Publication.
