As stated by Kensington Palace in a press statement, Prince Harry will make an official visit to Nepal in March 2016. This will be the first visit of Prince Harry to Nepal.
“Prince Harry is scheduled to carry out four days of official engagements, at the request of Her Majesty's Government, between March 20 and March 23,” said the statement. Prince Harry will meet the April 2015 earthquake victims and also learn about restoration processes. Along with that, he will visit the British Gurkha Camp in Pokhara.
Prince Harry is also prepared to meet President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and carry out trekking in one of the national parks in Nepal during his Nepal visit.
"Prince Harry is really looking forward to his first trip to Nepal. It is a country he has long wanted to visit. He has been moved by the stories of resilience of the Nepali people following the earthquakes last year and is now eager to learn more about their country and culture. With Britain and Nepal currently celebrating two hundred years of cooperation, Prince Harry will experience the strength of the relationship and traditional warmth of the Nepali welcome," a Kensington Palace spokesperson said.
