Application at CIAA seeks anti-graft Chief Karki’s property details
An application has been registered at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) seeking information regarding property details of the anti-graft body's Chief Lokman Singh Karki.An application has been registered at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) seeking information regarding property details of the anti-graft body's Chief Lokman Singh Karki.
In the letter registered at CIAA on Tuesday, Suman Shrestha, a resident of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-13, has demanded the CIAA provide him with the details of the property registered in the name of Karki and his family members.
The letter has sought information whether Karki has furnished his property details and declared their sources to the concerned government body as mentioned in the Anti Corruption Act 2059 (2002 AD).
He has made it clear that the information possessed by the anti-graft body regarding Karki’s property should be made available for general public as it doesn’t fall under the confidential category mentioned in the constitution.
