He added that no constitution in the world is drafted perfectly and the flaws of the new constitution would be rectified through amendment.
Speaking at a programme to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar, known as the architect of India’s constitution, leader Deuba said the contentious issues of Nepal’s constitution could be resolved through dialogue.
He claimed that the new constitution of Nepal is outstanding talking about the circumstances during the promulgation of India’s constitution and the current situation of Nepal. He added that Nepal’s new constitution is inclusive.
“Certain groups are dissatisfied with this constitution. But we will address the grievances through negotiations,” said leader Deuba.
Former Prime Minister Deuba reiterated that the solution to the problems should be sought through talks. “The constitution will gradually improve. Everyone should show their readiness to resolve the issues. And the Nepali Congress is striving to resolve the problems,” he added.
Leader Deuba called on the leaders of Madhes to come for dialogue and underscored that all the stakeholders should sit together in a place to resolve the issues.
