Five Nepali teachers sent to custody at Nautanuwa in India on suspicion of possessing fake Indian currency with a face value of IRs 4,000 on Wednesday.
Indian police arrested Jibakhar Dhakal, Ambika Prasad Ghimire, Krishna-chandra Sapkota Achyut Ghimire and Shivabhakta Pandit—teachers at Yuba Secondary School in Chitwan Municipality-12—while they were purchasing gifts for their family at the town in Uttar Pradesh town bordering Nepal on April 11. Yubaraj Pokharel, a relative of one the accused, said they had exchanged the Indian notes with a local agent in Chitwan.
