Nepali Congress (NC) central member Prakash Man Singh said that the Parliamentary Special Hearing Committee (PSHC) as imagined by the ruling CPN-UML is not acceptable to the NC.Nepali Congress (NC) central member Prakash Man Singh said that the Parliamentary Special Hearing Committee (PSHC) as imagined by the ruling CPN-UML is not acceptable to the NC.
"UML obstructed the recommendation to the post of members of Judicial Council by the previous government led by the late Sushil Koirala, arguing that there lacks PSHC to pave the way for appointments and that new PSHC will be formed only after new elections for the same as per the new constitution," he argued, adding that now the UML has recommended appointing ambassadors to various foreign countries under the same circumstances related to PSHC, which is not acceptable to the NC.
On reports about changing or toppling the incumbent government, Singh clarified that NC is not involved in such a power game to topple the government, instead, he said, ruling parties are playing a game to overthrow the government.
Saying that it is proved that only NC can resolve problems of the country, he said that NC will play a role of responsible opposition to give the country an outlet to challenges in the days to come. RSS
