The Apex court had asked CIAA to produce Dixit before the court responding to a habeas corpus writ filed by his wife Shanta Dixit on Wednesday. Shanta had filed a case at the SC after the Special Court had allowed the CIAA to keep Dixit in custody for 10 days.
Speaking to the Post, Dixit said he had no regrets to be presented at the court. “This is a place for justice. I have full faith in the judiciary,” he said.
Journalist and rights activist Kanak Dixit was taken into CIAA custody on April 22 on corruption charges.
