All Nepal National Free Students Union (Revolutionary), a sister organisation of Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist has called for the closure of educational institutions in Kathmandu valley on Tuesday. 

The CPN Maoist student body called for the closure demanding the release of the union students arrested on the charge of smearing soot on the face of the District Education Officer of Kathmandu district Shankar Prasad Gautam. 

Prakash Adhikari and Bikas Adhikari were arrested on April 29 as they had smeared Gautam's face black on May 27. 

Likewise, on Monday police had arrested union leaders Kamal Baduwal, Mahendra Tamang, Suman Timsina, Rojina Chaulagain and Ushakiran as they were protesting in front of the Kathmandu District Education Office. RSS
