Educational institutions have been closed in the Capital on Tuesday. All Nepal National Free Students Union (Revolutionary) called the closure demanding the release of the union students arrested on the charge of smearing soot on the face of the District Education Officer of Kathmandu district Shankar Prasad Gautam.
Prakash Adhikari and Bikas Adhikari were arrested on April 29 after they smeared black soot on Gautam's face on May 27.
Likewise, on Monday police had arrested union leaders Kamal Baduwal, Mahendra Tamang, Suman Timsina, Rojina Chaulagain and Ushakiran as they were protesting in front of the Kathmandu District Education Office. RSS
