NC Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba has been reported to be the first person to sign on it. However, the purpose behind the campaign is still unclear as signatures are being collected on blank paper. The Oli led government has come under pressure after UCPN (Maoist) appealed for a new government under its own leadership.
Prior to this, the NC had decided to start a signature campaign to bring only an adjournment motion in the parliament. Meanwhile, NC lawmaker Ramhari Khatiwada has hinted that the campaign could be used for any purpose.
Earlier today, the NC held talks with the Madhesi Morcha on the possibilities of forming a new government.
