Industry Minister Som Prasad Pandey, after the Cabinet meeting, said, "According to the new government decision a working journalist will recive a minimum of Rs 19,500 in wage as per the revised wage list."
The meeting also endorsed a draft of government’s policy and programme which will be presented by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari in Parliament on May 8.
The meeting also decided to build the international airport in Nijgarh, Bara by mobilising government’s own resources and to initiate land acquisition.
A decision was made to simplify the procurement process and guidelines in order to speed up reconstruction works in the earthquake affected districts.
