Speaking at the Legislature-Parliament during the deliberations on the government’s policies and programmes presented at the House on Sunday, Deuba said that there is no certainty that the budget announced by a temporary government would be implemented.
He made it clear that it wasn’t him who used the word temporary before the government. “Leaders of ruling coalition parties are saying the government is temporary,” he said. He accused the government of interfering in the appointment of ambassadors.
“Yes, there was border blockade. It’s been more than three months since the blockade was removed but the black marketeering is still prevalent. There are shortages of gas and oil. What is the government doing about it?” he questioned.
Leader Deuba claimed that the government’s claim to construct Kathmandu-Nijgad fast track on its own is not possible. “Company has already been selected through international tender bidding. It is not a prudent move on the government’s part to declare unilaterally on the issue,” said Deuba.
