Sanghiya Gathabandan meet underway to review protest programmes

SSFN Co-Chairman Rajendra Shrestha informed that the meeting will review the ongoing Kathmandu-centric protests that will end tomorrow and decide on the next phase of protests after May 31.
The Gathabandhan, after postponing the gherao of Singha Durbar and Prime Minister’s residence, has been carrying out protest programmes across the Capital. The Gathabandhan is all set to protest in Birgunj on May 16 and Pokhara on May 17.
Similarly, today’s meeting will also discuss regarding the dispute between Gathabandhan parties that arose after government’s call for talks.
Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Communication Sherdhan Rai has said that the government, at the moment, will not take initiatives for talks saying that the Gathabandan was not serious destipe PM KP Sharma Oli's letter calling the agitating faction for talks. He, however, pointed out that the government is positive towards resolving the discontentment through talks.
