A case has been filed at Supreme Court (SC) against parliamentary hearing on the recommendation of SC Justices forwarded by the Judicial Council (JC).

Advocate Purna Chandra Poudel has filed a case against the JC recommendation to nominate four lawyers and seven Appellate Court Justices for a parliamentary hearing regarding their appointment as SC Justices on March 15.

Last week, the apex court administration had rejected advocate Poudel’s plea regarding the same saying that the writ petition filed was beyond its jurisdiction.

Acting Chief Justice Baidhyanath Upahayay had rejected Poudel’s plea last Tuesday.
