A man was arrested with 3.5 kg hashish from Balaju bypass in the Capital on Friday.
Metropolitan Police Circle Sorhakhutte arrested one Narayan Khanal with the contraband drug from a passenger bus. The hashish brought to sell in Kathmandu was wrapped inside a piece of cloth, Police said.
Chief at Sorhakhutte Police Circile, DSP Somendra Singh Rathor, said investigation has revealed that Khanal, a resident of Dailekh district, was only used as carrier of the drugs. The hashish was made in Makwanpur.
Marijuana is refined as hashish in Makwanpur and supplied to Kathmandu and India. DSP Rathor said they have been looking for those involved in the drug trade.
