Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Sunday scaled to a new record with the benchmark index approaching near 1,600 points. Along with continuing its bullish run, the market also posted record daily transaction of Rs1.96 billion.

The Nepse jumped double digits points of 31.26 to close at 1,597.96 points. Aided by the commercial banks’ benchmark that surged by 47.47 points, the Nepse has hit the new record till the date.

The capital market has been in bullish trend for the past few months mainly after the enforcement of paperless system transaction system on January 15 this year. Last Thursday too, the daily transaction at the Nepse had set the new record of 1,566.70 points along with posting highest single day transaction of Rs1.89 billion.
