Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday hit new record posting daily transaction of Rs2.19 billion. It is the first time that the daily transaction in secondary market crossed Rs2 billion. Along with the daily transaction, the Nepse index also reached record high of 1,614.15 points.

Continuing its bullish trend of the last few months, Nepse has been observing daily transaction of over Rs1 billion for the last 20 days. High demand for the stocks of insurance companies and microfinance in particular has been attributed for the soaring market. On Tuesday too, the index of insurance group surged 112.53 points.
