An 18-year-old girl committed suicide after getting low grades in School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations in Bajhang district on Thursday.
Teacher of Kanya Secondary School Akkal Kunwar said Sapana Kumari Bhandari of Pipalkot-1 was found hanging in a tree nearby her house.
Bhandari had appeared in the SLC exam from Kanya Secondary School of Batulsera. Bhandari received 1.30 GPA in the SLC. Deputy Superintendent of Police Narendra Chand said the body of deceased has been sent to Rayal Primary Health Centre for post mortem.
According to family members, she became sad after learning about her SLC grades.
