Sadhai Tanneri, a book that deals with human health and the ways to overcome the effects of ageing, has been released amid a ceremony held on Saturday at the premises of Nepalaya at Kalikasthan, in the Capital. 

The book was launched jointly by authors Tirtha Bahadur Shreshta and Satya Mohan Joshi. 

The ceremony also saw musician Aavaas engage in a conversation with Tirtha Bahadur Shrestha.

Speaking during the conversation, Shrestha said: “Kavi Siromani Lekhnath Poudyal states in a 

poem: It is not that age should be added to life, but that life should be added to age… It is in that vein the book has been written.”

“The book makes it obvious that the old age is not an issue to worry about,” he added.

Sadhai Tanneri deals with, among other things, such widespread 

concerns as maintaining a sound health in old age. 

Speaking during the programme, the nonagenarian cultural expert Satya Mohan Joshi explained how not only a good diet but also the degree of satisfaction one derives tends to have effect on one’s living.

Author Jeevan Prasain is, by 

profession, a student of pharmacy. He embarks on a different 

endeavour through the book: He makes us aware about the herbs around the surrounding which one could use to remain healthy and how one could keep doctor away through regular exercises and medicinal herbs..

The book has been published by Nepalaya and is priced at Rs 345.
