Kabul attack victims are all Nepalis, Afghan ministry confirms

However, Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the death of 12 Nepalis.
A yellow minibus carrying Nepal and Afghan security guards was hit by a suicide bomber in the Banae area, PD9 Kabul city at 5:40 this morning.
A statement issued by the Afghan Ministry of Interior Affairs confirmed all the victims are Nepali citizens. Nine others—five Nepalis and four Afghans—were injured in the attack, the ministry stated further.
Condemning the incident, the ministry has expresses its condolences to the families and relatives of the victims.
BBC reported the attacker was on foot and waited for the bus to leave the compound housing the security contractors. Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack is said to be in revenge for execution of six Taliban prisoners.
PM, DPM express grief
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Deputy Prime Minister Kamal thapa have expressed his grief at the death of 14 Nepalis in Kabul explosion.
PM Oli tweeted for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attack. Likewise, DPM Thapa also tweeted to condemn the attack.

Indian PM Modi condemns Afghan attack
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly condemned the Kabul attack and offered condolences to the Nepali people. ‘We strongly condemn the horrible tragedy in Kabul. Our deep condolences to people and governments of Afghanistan and Nepal on loss of innocent lives,’ tweeted Modi.
