Four people have been injured in a leopard attack at Sundarbajar Municipality-3, Bhotewodar on Thursday.Four people have been injured in a leopard attack at Sundarbajar Municipality-3, Bhotewodar on Thursday.
In the attack, Bhotewodar Area Police Office Assistant Sub-Inspector Bol Kumar Shrestha, Ramesh Pariyar from Bhotewodar, Bharat Bahadur Tamang from Sundarbajar Municipality and Chabi Lal Budhathoki of Sharda Municipality-7, Salyan have been injured.
The leopard, which had wandered into a cornfield, had attacked Tamang at around 12 pm this afternoon. After Tamang, the big cat had pounced on Budhathoki. In an attempt at saving them, assistant sub-inspector Shrestha and Pariyar had been injured.
According to area Sub-Inspector (SI) Kamal Bahadur Rajaure, Sub-inspector Shrestha has been admitted to Karmada Hospital while the other three are being treated at Besisahar, Lamjung-based District Community Hospital.
SI Rajaure further added that the victims have sustained injuries to head, hands, arms and back after the attack. However, they are reported to be in a stable condition.
According to Area Police Inspector Chandra Bahadur Gurung, the leopard was headed towards the forest besides Marshyangdi River.
