Scholar Joshi-led Newar community expresses solidarity with Gathabandan’s hunger strike

People from Newar community affiliated to Newa Manka Struggle Committee (NMSC) reached the protest site on the 26th day of hunger strike to express their solidarity with the ongoing agitation.
“Those who will try to stop the people’s revolution will surely be unsuccessful,” said scholar Joshi during his speech in the event. He further said that the Gathabandhan’s protest will be successful with the help of Newar community people.
Likewise, welcoming the NMSC’s decision, Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal senior leader Ashok Rai said, “We have gained confidence because of the solidarity shown by NMSC and Newari people and we believe that the protest will yield positive results.”
Similarly, Tarai Madhes Sadbhawana Party senior leader Ram Naresh Raya Yadav expressed his gratitude toward the community. He also added that all people from mountain, hilly and Tarai should unite and protests against discriminatory provisions of the constitution.
