A meeting of Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee on Sunday unanimously endorsed Chief Justice nominee Sushila Karki for the post.

Before her name was endorsed, Karki furnished reply against six complaints registered against her at the committee.

Karki is the first female chief justice in the history of Nepal's judiciary system.

The endorsement letter is first sent to constitutional council for approval from where it is taken to President's office for oath taking ceremony.
