Chitwan Chief District Officer and District Disaster Management Committee Coordinator Binod Prakash Singh informed that the agencies concerned have been mobilized following water flow at the river crosses the warning mark.
He further shared that the disaster management teams along with Nepal Army and Nepal Police have been deputed in and around Golaghat and Sharanpur, Mangalpur of western Chitwan as flood is poised to ravage these areas.
The Committee has informed that the alarm sign which should be at flood flow of 8.5 metre reached at 8.4 from 1.00 pm this afternoon.
Earlier, the Narayani River flow had reached 7.8 metres at 10.00 am this morning, said the Water Measurement Centre, Devghat, Chitwan.
The status of flood-swollen Narayani River can be known through www.hydrology.gov.np operated under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. RSS
