The Mugling-Narayangarh road that was obstructed following a landslide at Kalikhola resumed after six hours in Chitwan district. The road was blocked since 4 am on Friday, halting the vehicular movement.
The debris was removed from the road with the help Road Project’s excavators, Chitwan District Police Chief SP Basanta Kunwan informed. Dozens of vehicles were stopped after the landslides hit the road.
The highway is the key road to enter and exit the Capital. Around 8000 vehicles ply the highway daily.
The road stretch has been witnessing frequent obstructions at different points due to landslides after the project work to expand and upgrade the road was initiated.
