CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who has announced that once he becomes the prime minister he would make his Cabinet “small and workable”, is going to face a tough challenge while selecting ministers from his party.
The party has also decided to make the Cabinet “inclusive and proportional”, and with eight ministries the party likely to claim as per an understanding with the Nepali Congress, the challenge is going to be even tougher for Dahal. “Chairman Dahal has to take a bold decision,” said Mani Thapa, a leader in the party’s nine-member headquarters. Days before the party takes over the government helm, the Maoist Centre is already grappling with arguments over selection of ministers.
