According to Sadbhawana Party Co Chair Laxman Lal Karna, the demands of Madesh are long ignored. But with the formation of the new government, we are hopeful that some of the demands will be addressed, he said.
The new government formed under the leadership of CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal decided to immediately implement the previous government's decision to provide Rs one million each to the families of those killed in the Madhes movement and bear the treatment expense of the injured. Likewise, the withdrawal of the case filed against those arrested in course of the Madhes agitation remains in the agenda of the incumbent government.
