Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Lokman Singh Karki, submitted a written response at the Supreme Court relating to a case on contempt of court on Tuesday.

In his response, Chief Karki said he was working in line with the constitution and laws; and the case against him was guided by ill-intention. "The case was filed against me to popularize self (petitioner), and evade from crime," he argued.

Journalist Kanak Mani Dixit's spouse, Shanta Dixit, had filed a contempt of court case against CIAA Chief Karki on May 4, arguing that her husband was arrested by the CIAA working beyond its jurisdiction.

The SC then demanded a written response from the CIAA Chief. RSS
