DPM Nidhi arrives home after five-day India visit, says his trip was successful
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi returned home on Tuesday after concluding his five-day official visit to Indian Capital New Delhi. Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in the Capital on Tuesday, Minister Nidhi said his visit was successful and that PM Dahal and President Bidya Devi Bhandari will visit India soon. He added that the success of his India trip will reflect during the Prime Minister's visit.
Talking to media persons at the TIA, Minister Nidhi informed that Indian President Pranab Mukherjee will also be making an official visit to Nepal.
Likewise, Minister Nidhi said that India has expressed high regard for the newly formed government saying that he shared the incumbent government's priority to implement the constitution and hold the local body elections to high level Indian officials.
During his visit, Minister Nidhi had called upon Indian President Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP Chairman Amit Shah, and Indian National Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, among other leaders.
DPM Nidhi had left for Delhi on Thursday as a special envoy of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
