Newly appointed Minister for Education Dhaniram Poudel has pledged to ensure people's access to education and make it affordable in line with the new constitution. 

Assuming office amidst a programme here Friday, Minister Poudel also stated that one of his priorities was to bring into effect the 18-point commitments pledged by former Minister for Education. 

Expressing his commitment towards devising new educational system and schools in line with the federal structures, Minister Poudel added that he had also underscored the reconstruction of the quake-damaged physical infrastructures of the schools. 

Issuing directive to the officials of the subordinate bodies, the newly appointed Minister called for cooperation from one and all for the same. 

Born at Daruan of Syangja district in 2023 BS, the Minister is the permanent resident of Madi-6, Chitwan. 

A graduate in sociology, Poudel started his career as a journalist, while entered into politics through student movement. He was in the central committee of Nepal Students Union for 20 years. RSS
