Supreme Court on Friday ordered to furnish the original documents of the appointment of Lokman Singh Karki as the chief of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
The Supreme Court has asked the government to present the documents related to appointment of Lok Man Singh Karki, chief of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to decide on whether a review on its own earlier decision is necessary.
A division bench of Justices Gopal Parajuli and Om Prakash Mishra on September 24, 2014 had quashed a petition lodged by advocate Om Prakash Aryal who had demanded annulment of Karki’s appointment CIAA chief.
Aryal on November 24 last year again registered an appeal at the SC, seeking a review.
In response to the petition, a bench of Justices Dipak Kumar Karki, Biswambhar Shrestha and Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada on Friday asked the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of General Administration to present all the documents related to Karki’s appointment.
