A Nepal Airlines Airbus that arrived from Hong Kong on Sunday evening has been grounded after its rear tyre got punctured while landing. 

The Airbus with call sign 9N-AKW cancelled its Monday's flights to Delhi, Mumbai and Bangkok.

The Airlines borrowed a wheel from private company Himalayan Airlines on Monday morning. However, the plane has not been brought into operation yet. Officials said that the flight will be resumed once the aircraft engineers give a go-ahead. 

A single tyre of the plane costs around 17,500 US dollars.
