Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav has said that the incumbent Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government would topple prematurely if it failed to immediately revise and rewrite the constitution that has been 'rejected' by the people.

He went on to warn that current government would face similar fate of preceding KP Oli-led government if it puts effort into enforcing the constitution in status-quo without amending it to address the grievances of agitating sections. "The ball is in Dahal's court to make the constitution all-acceptable," he said.

Speaking in a party programme here on Tuesday, leader Yadav rued over delay in implementing the main point of the three-point agreement reached with Dahal government regarding the constitution amendment. Two other issues have been addressed, said Yadav.

Leader Yadav also took exception to government's strategy of holding local elections before amending the constitution. He said that the election cannot take place by posing threat to federalism and would boycott the election if it is held forcefully.
