Advanced Automobiles, the authorised dealer in Nepal, unveiled the sports utility vehicle (SUV) Duster and the hatchback Kwid amid a ceremony.
“The products are a best fit in the market considering their affordability, safety, comfort and convenience,” claimed Advanced Automobiles, a subsidiary of the Vishal Group.
As per the company, the price of the Kwid starts from Rs1.68 million while the Duster’s entry level price is Rs3.53 million.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Advanced Automobiles Managing Director Nikunj Agrawal said they had been receiving an overwhelming number of enquiries since they announced the launch in the Nepali market.
“The products feature innovation and human adventure,” said Agrawal, adding that they would be showcasing the products at the 11th NADA Auto Show that begins on Tuesday.
Agrawal said they introduced Renault autos based on the desire for quality cars among the Nepali people. “We hope that these products will fulfil their expectations,” he added.
Multinational car maker Renault has a presence in 125 countries. The company has been selling its products in India for the last four years. Two months ago, it expanded its business in Sri Lanka.
Agrawal said the Kwid was a game-changer compact hatchback. “Unlike other entry-level hatchbacks, Kwid features advanced technology, a spacious inside area and more safety measures,” he said. “Besides, the car also ensures high mileage compared to similar types of cars in the segment.” The Kwid comes in five different colours. It has a large boot space so it can carry more luggage, the company said.
Meanwhile, the Duster, according to Advanced Automobiles, is a ‘concept innovation’. “Apart from being a premium SUV at an affordable price, the Duster offers more efficiency, reliability and value for money,” said Agrawal.
The Duster features 4x4 SUV capability, 1.5 TCI engine, unique electronic control system, automatic remote control system and ultra utility service. The product comes in seven different colours.
Sumit Sawhney, chief executive officer and managing director of Renault India, said they launched the products in Nepal encouraged by its expanding car market. “SUVs and hatchbacks are the growing segments in Nepal, and we are confident that the Kwid and the Duster will play a significant role in our expansion plans in Nepal,” he said.
Sawhney added that they would be providing after sales service from six showrooms and a similar number of workshops in the next four months. Advance Automobiles offers a two-year warranty on both cars.
