Chairman of Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal, Upendra Yadav, has said that the incumbent government will topple prematurely if it fails to immediately amend and rewrite the constitution.Chairman of Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal, Upendra Yadav, has said that the incumbent government will topple prematurely if it fails to immediately amend and rewrite the constitution.
The coalition government of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, will face similar fate as the previous government, led by CPN-UML’s KP Sharma Oli, if it tries to enorce the constitution without addressing the grievances of the agitating sides, Yadav claimed while addressing an event in Dharan on Tuesday.
“It is up to the government to make the constitution all-acceptable,” he said.
Yadav also criticised the government plan to conduct the local elections before amending the constitution.
He warned of boycotting the elections that are held without first addressing the disputed issues by amending the constitution.
“We have already made it clear what should be amended in the constitution,” Yadav said. “The government is apparently delaying the amendment process in purpose.”
