Last Sunday, Nepal Airlines plane with a registration 9N-AKW made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and has been grounded there since. On Tuesday, another airbus with a registration mark 9N-AKX lost one of its wheels upon landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
Suresh Acharya, joint-secretary of the ministry has been named the chairman of the committee. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (Caan) former deputy director general Binod Gautam, Caan’s captains Deepak Lama and Bishwo Man Amatya and Himalaya Airlines engineer Samir Basnet are the members of the committee.
Ritesh Panta, senior airworthiness engineer of Caan has been appointed the member-secretary of the committee. It has been given 15 days to submit a report. (PR)
