Diarrhoea outbreak grips Saptari's village
Saptari's Jamuni Madhepura-2 is in the grip of a diarrhoea outbreak from the past three days. According to public health inspector Raj Narayan Thakur, the outbreak spread in the VDC from the pilgrims returning from India's Babadham.
The public health office has set up temporary health centres with six health workers at Jamuni Madhepura to heal the sick people.
Thakur who himself heads the health workers' team informed there are 30 women, 34 male and 5 children suffering from the outbreak. The victims are receiving treatment at village while three serious patients have been ferried to Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital.
Meanwhile, public health office has distributed jeebanjal (rehydrating solution) and water purifiers to the villagers.
