A team of experts from the Alternative Energy Promotion Centre, Solid Waste Management Technical Support Centre, Institute of Engineering and Centre for Population Studies are currently involved in the monitoring and trial operation of the plant.
Eight Indian engineers who were here to help install the machine left for India two weeks ago after setting up the plant, which has been brought from Pune, India. When fully operated, the plant can generate 14kw of electricity a day. Besides generating energy from the waste, the plant will also help manage the pollution in a sustainable way.
