In Gulmi, Durga Bahadur Thapa, of Juniya-5, died while five others were injured in a landslide at Shantipur on Tuesday.
According to police, Khemraj Thapa, his wife Sunita, their daughters, Barsa and Hira, of Juniya-5, and Dipak Magar, of Dibrung-6, were injured in the incident.
The landslide triggered by heavy rains had buried the workshop owned by Thapa at around 11 pm. In Sankhuwasabha, a girl identified as Muna Shrestha was buried alive when a landmass caved in at Khandbari on Wednesday.
In Dhankuta, one Naramaya Karki, 54, was killed when a landslide buried her house at Pakhribas-8 on Wednesday. Two persons survived the incident, said police.
In Lamjung, Juthe Gurung, 52, of Gauda-1, and Sujan Gurung, 11, of Phorjung, were swept away while crossing the flooded Kisedi stream at the border of Pachok and Gauda on Tuesday evening. Their bodies were recovered nearly 500 metres downstream.
In Morang, two persons died after being swept away by Singiya and Letang streams on Wednesday. A woman in her forties was swept away by the Singiya stream while Chanchalal Magar, 40, died in the flooded Letang stream.
