Bodies of the three of the four persons who were buried in a landslide along the Manslu trekking route on Thursday were recovered on Friday.
A landslide had hit Spanish and Nepali trekkers on Thursday morning near a bridge connecting Uiya-Kerauja along the Manaslu circuit in Gorkha district. At least 14 persons were injured.
The bodies of a Spanish national and two Nepalis have been brought to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu for post-mortem, said authorities. Body of the fourth victim, Ranjana Basnet, 32, of Okhaldhunga district, was yet to be recovered.
Gorkha Chief District Officer Narayan Bhatta said her body could have been swept away by Gandaki River and that search was underway. The other deceased have been identified as Adolfo Manuel Ripa, a Spanish national, and Tshering Sherpa, 30, and Dorje Lama, 35, of Kathmandu.
The injured trekkers were airlifted to Kathmandu and admitted to Vayodha Hospitals in Balkhu on Thursday.
