Hearing in the 2004 murder of Krishna Prasad Adhikari by then-rebel Maoists concluded in the Chitwan District Court on Tuesday.
Judge Tek Narayan Kunwar has ordered officials to submit written statements of the plaintiff and the petitioner before October 21 to the court. Krishna Prasad Baral, information officer at the court, said the hearing of the defendants had been over.
“After receiving the hearing in the written form, the court will fix the date for final decision,” said Baral.
District Attorney Maniram Neupane and Assistant District Attorney Udaya Chandra Adhikari completed hearing on behalf of the plaintiff while six advocates carried out hearing on the petitioners’ side.
Eleven advocates had carried out the hearing on behalf of the defendants. The court recorded statement from the victim’s mother, Ganga Maya Adhikari, from hospital bed in Kathmandu on September 18.
Ganga Maya is under medical observation after she ended her hunger strike demanding justice. Her husband, Nanda Prasad, died while on fast two years ago. A murder case has been filed against 13 former Maoist rebels.
