Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, during his state visit of India in New Delhi, had met a person accused of being involved in the Tikapur incident, confirmed Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik Chief Whip Yogendra Chaudhary.

Speaking at the special hour of the Legislature-Parliament on Friday, MJF-L Chief Whip Chaudhary said that the meeting between PM Dahal and the Tikapur incident accused, who is is on the run, at Hotel Taj in the Indian Capital and the meeting was not pre-planned. Lawmaker Chaudhary was one of the members of PM’s team.

“No one was allowed into the programme at Hotel Taj by the security bodies. After learning that the lawmakers who supported Tharu agitation were also present, he (PM Dahal) came to meet us later during dinner,” he said, “It is common for a Nepali to greet the Prime Minister. This matter is being hyped for no reason.”

Earlier, PM Dahal’s predecessor and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli had criticised the PM’s meeting with Kailali massacre accused.
