The NSN led by former Maoist ideologue and PM Dahal's deputy Baburam Bhattarai has accused that the joint comminuque was against the national interest and it would lead Nepal on the path of Bhutan.
The newly formed party has also opposed the three major parties' decision to turn the existing Ilakas to local bodies claiming that was a regressive move and would be against the spirit of federalism.
Besides, the protest was also intended against the artificial shortage of goods during the festivals, inflation, black marketing and the syndicate existing in the transportation sector.
During the protest, the participants including Bhattarai had demanded the government scrap the joint comminique, end black marketing, inflation and syndicate in the transport sector.
