Nepali women's national cricket team's 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup journey ended after losing to Thailand by one wicket in a match at the ICC Women’s World Cup qualifying series for Asia region on Friday.
Nepal had set a target of 109 runs which their opponents achieved with eight balls to spare losing nine wickets.
Nepali bowlers showed some esteem to take 7 Thai wickets just giving out 63 runs. However, they could not maintain the momentum in the later overs.
The Nepali team was only able to secure four points from five matches. Thailand is at the top of the group with eight points and is vying for a spot at the upcoming women's world cup.
