He said that all achievements obtained so far could be lost if the constitution was not implemented.
Talking to journalists at Sarlahi on Tuesday, Chairman Mahato pointed out the necessity to amend the constitution to make it all-acceptable so that it could be implemented.
"Constitution amendment is a need of this whole nation and not just only of Madhesi, Tharu, Janjati, Dalit, among other communities," said Chairman Mahato.
He accused the sects denying the amendment of the constitution as anti-republic and said the incumbent government was formed so that constitution could be amended. "If the government fails to amend the constitution, it is no more relevant," said Mahato.
Leader Mahato added that the agitating Madhesi groups are hopeful that the government will adhere to written agreement forged with them prior to the formation of this government.
