Bharat Thakuri was captured on Monday based on a complaint lodged by his
victims Dipendra Malla and Ujit Malla.
The metropolitan police spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Shakul Thapa, said Thakuri had assumed a fake identity of Bikram Singh to avoid arrest.
Similarly, the metropolitan police has arrested the owners of two Capital-based educational consultancies on human trafficking charges. SP Thapa said Samjhana KC of Reckon Educational Consultancy and Anand KC of Highlink Educational Consultancy were being investigated after seven of their clients found themselves stranded in Russia on their way to Europe for employment.
The two consultancies had charged the seven people a fee of up to Rs 1.5 million each.
