The first general convention of Health Journalists Forum Nepal (HJFN) elected Anil Nyaupane, Editor of Swasthyakhabar Health Magazine, as its president on Saturday.

The convention held in Kathmandu also elected other office bearers.

Kalpana Acharya of Avenues Television was elected as Vice-President, Manish Gautam of The Kathmandu Post was elected as General Secretary, Saroj Dhungel of Gorkhpatra as Secretary and Ram Prasad Neupane of Nepalihealth.com was elected as Treasurer.

Similarly, other members including Bhagwati Timilsina of Nepal Samacharpatra, Uddav Bhetwal of Hamrodoctor.com, Prabin Dhakal of Nagarik Daily, Bhisa Kafle of Naya Patrika Daily and Junu Bhattarai of Karobar daily.

HJFN is a professional organisation of journalists who have been writing on public health issues.
