Century beat SBI to clinch championship

SBI could only muster 55-2 in five overs after opting to bat first with Monish Shrestha hitting a fiery 36 runs. Monish slammed four sixes and two boundaries in his 10-ball cameo. However, Diwesh Dangol and Subash Sharma steered Century Bank to victory line in just 3.5 over without giving away any wicket. Man-of-the-match Dangol hit unbeaten 34 off 10 deliveries, which included six fours and a six. Sharma scored unbeaten 18 off five balls. The champions will now get free entry to the next edition of the tournament.
Earlier in the semi-finals, Century defeated Civil Bank by four wickets and SBI beat ICFC Finance by 15 runs.
In the semi-finals, Civil amassed 83-1 with Nishesh KC scoring unbeaten 31 and Abhay Rana making 28 not out. Despite the seemingly tough target, it took Century only four of their allotted five overs to chase the total. Century replied with 86-2 with Dangol scoring unbeaten 33 and man-of-the-match Vishnu Tiwari making eight-ball 27.
In the second semi-final match, SBI compiled 83-2 with Monish and man-of-the-match Sakar Shrestha scoring 29 runs each. In reply, ICFC only managed 68-5 in five overs. Arbind Rana top scored for ICFC with 10-ball 31.
Suraj Timilsina of Century won the man-of-the-series award. Timilsina,who also won the best fielder honour, earned 32-inch Led TV as well as Rs 10,000. Arbind of ICFC was named the best batsman, Raj Shrestha of Civil the best bowler and Sakar Shrestha of SBI the best wicketkeeper. Arbind also topped the list players to hit the maximum number of sixes with 18.
